脂質異常症を治療するためのメラノコルチンの使用

本発明は、メラノコルチン受容体、特に4型メラノコルチン受容体のペプチドリガンドに関する。本発明は、そのようなものとして、脂質異常症および関連合併症、例えばアルコール性および非アルコール性脂肪肝疾患の治療に有用である。

【特許請求の範囲】
【請求項1】
脂質異常症の治療を必要とする被験者における脂質異常症の治療方法であって、脂質異常症の治療を必要とする前記被験者における前記脂質異常症を治療するための、有効量の4型メラノコルチン受容体アゴニストの抹消投与を含む前記方法。
【請求項2】
前記脂質異常症の治療が、血清コレステロールレベル、トリグリセリドレベル、低密度リポタンパクコレステロールレベル、遊離脂肪酸レベルの減少もしくは高密度リポタンパクコレステロールレベルの増加またはそれらの任意の組み合わせをもたらす、請求項1記載の方法。

前記被験者が肝脂肪症を患っている、請求項1記載の方法。
【請求項4】
前記肝脂肪症が非アルコール性脂肪酸肝疾患またはアルコール性脂肪酸肝疾患である、請求項3記載の方法。
【請求項5】
前記非アルコール性脂肪酸肝疾患またはアルコール性脂肪酸肝疾患が、脂肪性肝炎、脂肪壊死、小葉内炎症、球状変性、線維症、硬変もしくは癌またはそれらの任意の組み合わせに付随して起こる、請求項4記載の方法。

前記化合物がヒダントイン(C(O)-(Arg-Gly))-c(Cys-Glu-His-D-Phe-Arg-Trp-Cys)-NH2またはその薬学的に許容される塩である、請求項6記載の方法。
【請求項9】
前記被験者が肥満、過体重、正常体重または痩身である、請求項1〜8のいずれか1つに記載の方法。
【請求項10】
前記被験者がII型糖尿病を患っている、請求項9記載の方法。
【請求項11】
前記抹消投与が経口、皮下、腹腔内、筋肉内、静脈内、直腸内、経皮または鼻腔内である、請求項1記載の方法。
【請求項12】
前記投与が継続的、1時間に1回、毎日4回、毎日3回、毎日2回、毎日1回、1日おきに1回、週2回、毎週1回、2週間毎に1回、1ヶ月1回または2カ月毎に1回である、請求項11記載の方法。
